"Clean and modern. Well equipped. Two toilets/bathrooms. Downstairs bedroom and bathroom. Central location so could walk to cafes/shops and restaurants and the Somme museum. Although it was central it was still a quiet location. There was a nice garden area outside although it was too warm for us to sit out in the sun at that time."

"Great location, less than 5 minutes walk to the shops, bars & restaurants in the centre of town. The accommodation is located at the bottom of a pleasant and peaceful garden. Everything was very clean and comfortable. The kitchen was well equipped, we cooked one evening. The off-street parking was very handy in the middle of town (the gateway was made for smaller cars but we managed fine.) Anne communicated well and helpfully throughout, and was available for tips and assistance."

"Fabulous stay ! There were 3 of us visiting the WW1 Battlefields. A real hidden gem home from home! Absolutely everything you need. All spotless. Kitchen well equipped, lounge very comfortable, bedrooms beautiful, comfortable beds with quality bed linen. Beautiful garden. 2 mins walk to the Basilica! Parking, excellent security and very peaceful. Would highly recommend."

"Great communication with Anne. She is a lovely person who takes pride in her accommodation and met us when we arrived. There was parking for 2 vehicles in a secure area at the front of the home. The accommodation is in the centre of Albert. It was very clean and is at the rear of the premises and has 3 large bedrooms. Nice kitchen dining & lounge area. Plenty of room for 6 people. Albert is an ideal town location for people seeking to experience The Somme. Overall a brilliant and comfortable stay at Cottage De L’ancre."

"It was in a good location, had very spacious living area and bedrooms and the kitchen well-equipped. The bedrooms and living area were comfortable, clean and well furnished. The beds were very comfortable and mostly the facilities were good. The heating worked well. The owner was kind and helpful when the wifi wouldn’t work. There was a washing machine and portable clothes drying rack."

"The wifi would not connect at first and the owner needed to fix it. The upstairs bathroom was very smelly and the shower recess had a lot of mould around the edges of the floor and on the overhead ceiling. It smelled like the plumbing needed a thorough flushing to clean it out, or replacing. The downstairs shower also had mould around the edges of the floor. There was no dryer to dry the washing."
